FINAL BLOG

In my English 214 class we have been learning about how to identify hidden narratives in writing. This was something new for me, coming into this class I knew nothing about hidden narratives and how to identify them as well. Not only did we learn how to identify them in other writhing but also in our own writing. This was a learning process for me, reading a piece of work and thinking deeply about it is  something that most people can't do even trying to understand what the writer is trying to say can take a while you can only imagen how challenging it is to find something that is hidden in the writing.

Somethings that made this process much easier was being able to have good exaplmes of what a hidden narrative was and in class the teacher gave some good examples of that. Another thing that helped me get a good understanding of what a hidden narrative was, when the teacher gave some examples with pictures, I was able to see excatly what the hidden narratives was and that help me identify them in writing. Identifying hidden narrative came easy after practice but being ask to found them in my own work is where I found the challeges. In my experience, I was never taught how to read my own writing and think critically about what I wrote.

In a blog that I wrote about invisable narrative I choose the TV show American Dad this caroon had a lot of hidden narratives some that what easier to see then oithers and after watching the show It had open my eyes to see the diffent ways that the meida put negutive, and stratpcal things out in the world and. After doing this blog and looking at this show and looking for the invsible narrative I found my self  looking for hidden narratives in everything that I wtach on TV and even on billborads because they are just not only in writing but out in the world aswell.

  1. i totally agree that our professor helped a lot to see that everything has invisible narratives. I also was very surprised that even shapes are invisible narratives because well the shapes are simply lines. I thought that was pretty cool. Also i also learned about my self thanks to these invisible narratives.

  2. I agree with you. Nowadays a lot of TV shows secretly show some invisible narratives about certain people without other people knowing it.
