No Limits to Cyber Bullying

I wonder why cyber bullying is so effective? What is it that makes people feel so comfortable disrespecting someone else over the Internet? It has to be the security of not doing it face to face that enables these people, but at the same time they also do not see a reaction or the actual pain they cause.
Suicide and murder are two physical outcomes of cyber bullying. Although suicide being the more mainstream outcome murder is still likely, in fact just in this month alone one boy has been stabbed to death in San Francisco.

It would appear that in most cases the effects of cyber bullying go unnoticed. It is not only until it is too late that we see that it is a real issue. By this time there is nothing to be done and repeatedly we see this happen all through out America. I would go on to say that more people than not have heard of this issue but as far as I know not much being done to stop it. In fact 95% of teens that have witnessed cyber bullying online do nothing to stop it. Cyber bullying stats of 2014 reveals that 52% of young people report being cyber bullied.

Majority the power comes from these unregulated sites. All they care about is getting you to sign up and recruiting your friends on. If these people would just invest in filters for this kind of thing, cyber bullying would rapidly become a distant memory. I feel as though they give the government the right to see what you are talking about whether it be criminal related or a national threat but the common person is not protected.

Although it is an issue that is not to be taken lightly it would appear that no one cares even the slightest bit. Mainly the youth are who we hear being victimized by this kind of abuse and the fact that no one stands up to protect these children says the most.

If you are a person who creates a platform and doe not have the regulations to stop the sending of hateful messages you should not be allowed to run a site in the first place. All I am saying is that if your site causes deaths and you have not done anything about it. As a whole you are contributing to the problem and should not be allowed to conduct anymore business. This seems like a legal matter at this point.

Either way it goes cyber bullying is such an easy thing to be fixed and if people can put the time into creating a website at least make it safe for all their users. If suicides and death in general are not incentive enough to make a safer website environment, I say they need to be threatened with being shut down. people as a whole need to recognize this as a major problem and correct it. With the testimonials of the families that are directly effected and some higher authority nudging, hopefully better filters can be put in place and this issue can be put to rest.
