Assignment 3



Detained children
For this unit in English 214, I am writing about the immigrant children crisis. The reasearch has been a bit difficult for finding primary, and secendory sources. Also, its hard to research the topic because being an emotional person, it angers you to know what innocent children are going through.
Big Controversy 

At first, my topic was about abortion and the Roe v. Wade law. However, this was a hard topic because their is many sides to it and you can't  really focus on one. Abortion has always been controversial, and hard to pick one side.

After figuring out that abortion was not my topic I decided to continue with the Children crises going on. This topic is really import an for many people right now. However, people are not very knowledgeable about it.

Many if these children are immigrating to the U.S. because of the violence, gang abuse, and sexual abuse. The children are seeking for government protection, and we are denying it to them. This to me is wrong, however, I go more in depth about it on my essay.

Risk Factors for why children are fleeing their country
This topic caught my attention because it really interest me. Its part of my future discourse, so why not research it.

over all in this class I am doing good. The only thing am struggling with is the presentation we have to do. Am not really clear on what that will be about or how we have to organize it. For that reason that is my main priority to ask in my conference next week.

    Immigration is not as big of a problem as it is made to be. I feel that all should be allowed to enter the US in order to pursue a good future. People immigrating want to come to our nation because there are much more opportunities and freedom than the countries they live in. I feel that our country makes this to big of a problem when it shouldn't be one.

    Your topic sounds really good. It's interesting how u continually changed your topics because there are so many great topics to write about. But overall immigration children crisis sounds pretty interesting.

    I agree that the topic about abortion can be complicated because there is a lot that is said about it. And the topic you ended up with sounds really interesting. I think you will fing a lot of interesting points of view. Also, I would be intrigued to find out both the points of view for both sides, since the U.S. has had a long history of immigration. Especially since many immigrants helped this country progress, then why is it that immigration cannot be allowed now?
